Notification regarding the corona virus

Much is different now for the time, and it will also be a different summer for us at Knalla Mine. Most of us who work at the museum are in the risk group for the corona virus and therefore we will limit our activities this summer. Of course, it is sad to have to announce this. Therefore, during the summer all underground trips will be canceled. You can still visit our museum, but guided tours are not offered. However, as a visitor this summer, you can still get a guided tour of our fine outdoor environment at the museum, including coming along for a ride on our mini train. Our café will also be open. We regret the limited opportunities to visit us, but hope you still find us here and get an interesting and exciting visit.

Kind regards

Your guides

Welcome to Knalla Mine and Zinkgruvan Mining Museum

If you are looking for a family adventure this summer you have come to the right place.

On the surface

We offer guided tours of our mining museum. The tour showcases interesting facts about mining as well as photographs and exhibitions.

We also offer a mini train ride which is a favourite with children.

200 meters underground

During the summer of 2016 underground tours were available for the very first time. Catch the mine lift and travel with a guide 200 meters below surface and 150 years backwards in time.

There you will be taken on a  thrilling and educational tour through the mine. Tours are in Swedish, but your guides will try to the best of their abillities to provide information in English.
